Job Services

Job services are services that help you locate new jobs, or services that help you assess your current job and plan out your job search. Job services abound, although most of these are job repositories. These job services that are job repositories mostly just post jobs. You are responsible to get in touch with the employers. There is no interface where you can read up the employer's profile, nor anything that will keep you updated on your job application statuses.

The good job services are those that at least would give you an employer's profile. Employer profiles are basics in good job services. Employer profile lets the user know whether or not the business is legitimate. At the same time, employer profiles should be a requisite of employer when search for job services to post their openings.

Second, good job services should have a tracking system where users and employers can track applications. Good job services should allow users to track their current applications, whether they are under consideration or have been rejected as applicant. At the same, good job services should give employers an interface wherein they can accept applications and browse through online resumes of applicants.

Lastly, good job services are more like career consultants than just job depositories. Job services that give advice and help plot a user's career is not only useful for those looking for specific jobs under an industry or two. These job services are also good for those looking for some direction in their careers.

In these day and age, it is important for people to find fulfillment in their careers. Often, they are not just after finding a job. It's now more about finding a job they'd like. Basic job services that just list current openings, without any organization or any tracking and resume services, are giving the raw end of the deal. Job services should ideally be aiding the user in planning a career. Job services should have the usual job postings, of course. But then, these job services should go beyond posting jobs. People are not likely to return to the site if it's all jobs and no information.

Good job services should have a user interface for both user and employer. This way, applications on both sides can be tracked. At the same time, the user interface will provide the parties with ideas who the employers are or who the applicants are. In a way, this cuts down the application process. It saves the users time as it keeps them from applying in companies they don't want. At the same time, employers need not call for interviews with people who aren't fit for the job.
